Year 2020-22
Director QEC presented online in the 13th Higher Education International Conference on “Education Innovation and Teaching Quality Assurance in the Post-Pandemic Era”. This conference was organized by Macao Polytechnic Institute and APQN and was held online on Zoom from the 22nd-23rd November, 2021. The topic of the paper presentation was “The Impact of Quality Assurance Measures on Quality of Online Education at the Lahore School of Economics”. The conference provided a learning experience on the different quality measures and approaches, different universities from around the world such as China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, UK and USA participated in the conference. The main focus of the conference was the Impact that Quality Assurance has on quality of Online Education, also focusing on the impact that Covid-19 has brought upon the Traditional teaching system. A Progress Review Meeting of HEI’s was held at the Lahore School of Economics premises. It was organized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in collaboration with the Lahore School of Economics. The topic of the workshop was “Strengthening Internal Quality Assurance”. QEC representatives of 41 HEI’s participated along with nine HEC officials. The review meeting consisted of interactive workshops and presentations.
Director QEC and Assistant Director QEC attended and presented at the conference organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. The theme of the conference was “Future Trends of Quality Assurance at HEI’s”. Director QEC Lahore School of Economics presented on a paper titled “The Impact of Quality Assurance Measures on Quality of Online Education at the Lahore School of Economics”.
The University of Central Punjab conducted a Self-Institutional Performance Evaluation on Monday 28th March, 2022. Director QEC was part of the Institutional Performance Evaluation Team. The university was evaluated on the 11 parameters specified by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.	March 28th, 2022
Year 2019-20
Director QEC and Assistant Director QEC attended an International Conference organized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in collaboration with the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation (CHEA)US and United Sates Education Foundation Pakistan(USEFP).It provided an opportunity for Pakistani University Leaders to learn from the experience of the countries and universities including Europe ,US. Malaysia and Turkey and share the Pakistani experience with others. The conference focused on the issues and challenges of developing Quality Assurance System Standards and Policies, improving faculty role, role of Quality Assurance in Teaching Excellence Framework, role of accreditation bodies and accreditation parameters, ranking systems and performance of HEI’S.
Higher Education International Conference on Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance in Higher Education under the Pandemic was organized by Macao Polytechnic Institute and APQN was held Online on Zoom from the 25th-26th November, 2020. A National Conference organized by Punjab University, Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions: Challenges and Reforms took place Online on 30th December, 2020. Universities from different cities of Pakistan such as Lahore, Karachi and Multan presented papers on the Challenges and Reforms caused by the Ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. The conference highlighted all the effects of Covid-19 on Economic growth, Education and the shift from Traditional to Online Teaching system.	December 30th, 2020
Year 2018-19
Director QEC and Registrar Lahore School of Economics attended APQN Academic Conference 2019 on March 28-30, 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The conference theme focused on, “Quality Assurance in the Asia-Pacific Region: Insight into the Future”. The main objective of the conference was to bring together QA representatives from the Asia – Pacific region and provide a platform for sharing best practices. The conference routed round two keynote addresses, four plenary sessions and five parallel sessions. Mr. Jamil Salmi, Global Tertiary Education expert and Mr. Peter J. Wells, Chief of Higher Education UNESCO delivered keynotes to the Addressees.	March 28-30, 2019
“Progress Review Meeting for the year 2018-19” organized by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, was attended by Ms. Amberin Tanveer, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell, Lahore School of Economics, on April 18 - 19, 2019. The purpose of the review meeting was to assess the progress of the HEI on the parameters prescribed in the yearly, progress report. Each Director QECs presented on the following areas, progress against Institutional Performance Evaluation, Progress against Program Self – Assessment, Progress against accreditation, Progress of PhD Program and MS/MPhil and equivalent Program review, functioning of QEC secretariat, implementation of HEC (QA) policies and criteria and hindrances in implementation of revised criteria. The second day of activity was training on revised template of Yearly Progress Report.	April 18 - 19, 2019
Ms. Amberin Tanveer, Director QEC, Lahore School of Economics and Ms. Rabia Rauf, Assistant Director QEC, Lahore School of Economics attended 2nd International Conference of Pakistan Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (PNQAHE) on April 23-25, 2019. Director QEC, Lahore School of Economics presented on the, “Challenges and Opportunities for inducting quality culture in HEIs”.	April 23-25, 2019
Ms. Mehreen Rehmani, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, Lahore School of Economics, conducted an Awareness Seminar on, “Quality in Services” for the administrative staff, March 22, 2019. The Awareness session focused on Total Quality Management, the Six Sigma Program, Seven Tools of TQM followed by the determinants of service quality and quality in Educational institutions. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.	March 22, 2019

Mr. Salman Ehsan, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, Lahore School of Economics, conducted an Awareness Seminar on, “Service Quality – Striving for Excellence” for the Economics Faculty, May 02, 2019. Mr. Salman Ehsan talked about the various dimensions of quality, determinants of service quality and its link and impact on HEI’s vis a vis faculty and administrative staff. The session was interactive and the administrative staff fully supported and benefitted from the endeavor.	May 02, 2019
