Dr. Shahid
Siddiqui
Dr.
Shahid Siddiqui is Professor and Head of the Centre for Humanities & Social
Sciences at the Lahore School of Economics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied
Linguistics from University of Toronto, Canada, M.Ed. TESOL from University of
Manchester, U.K. and MA English Literature from Pakistan. He has been involved
with Educational system of Pakistan in various capacities - as a teacher,
teacher educator, and researcher. His areas of interest include language issues,
educational change, and critical pedagogy. Prior to joining the Lahore School of
Economics, he worked with the Aga Khan University, the GIK Institute of
Engineering Sciences and Technology, and Lahore University of Management
Sciences.
He
has presented in a number of national and international conferences and has
published in national and international journals. Some of his publications
