Graduate Scholarships
Need Based Scholarship for Lahore School Graduates for MBA Programme
A limited number of 50% Need Based Scholarships (which is equivalent to 50% of
the total tuition fees for the term) are available to students. Eligibility
criteria include:
i) CGPA of 3.5 in the Lahore School’s 4 Year Bachelor Degree Program and a
Lahore School Need Based Scholarship at the Undergraduate level.
ii) Demonstrated need to be supported by a completed Financial Assistance Form
(available from the Financial Assistance and Admissions Office) and a home
verification visit by the Financial Assistance Office staff.
Students will have to maintain a CGPA of 3.5 to maintain their Need Based
Scholarship. Students with CGPA between 3.49 and 3.0 will get a reduction in
their Need Based Scholarship to 25%. Students with CGPA less than 3.0 will not
be entitled to any Need Based Scholarship.
The Need Based Scholarship will not be in addition to the Major Merit
Scholarship.
The deadline date to apply for Financial Assistance is July 15th of the relevant
admission academic year.
Graduate Major
Merit Scholarship for MBA Programme
BBA/BSc (Hons) graduates of the Lahore School of Economics who have attained a
CGPA of 3.75 by the end of their Hons. degree, if admitted in to the Lahore
School’s MBA will be eligible for 50% Major Merit Scholarship (which is
equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees for the term) for the first term of
the MBA Programme, which will continue for subsequent terms provided they
maintain a CGPA of 3.75 at the end of each term. Students with CGPA between 3.74
and 3.5 will have their Major Merit Scholarship reduced to 25%. If the CGPA
drops below 3.5, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
One MBA student enrolled in the 2½ year MBA Programme who secures highest CGPA
at the end of the 1st year will be eligible for 50% Major Merit Scholarship
(which is equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees for the term) for the 2nd
year of the MBA Programme, which will continue for subsequent terms provided the
student maintains a CGPA of 3.75 at the end of each term. Student with CGPA
between 3.74 and 3.5 will have their Major Merit Scholarship reduced to 25%. If
the CGPA drops below 3.5, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
The Major Merit Scholarship will not be in addition to the Need Based
Scholarship.
Graduate Minor Merit Scholarship for MBA Programme
Students enrolled in the MBA programme attaining a CGPA of 3.75 and above at the
end of each regular term will get fee waiver for a three credit hour course in
the subsequent term.
The Minor Merit Scholarship will be in addition to the Major Merit Scholarship
and Need Based Scholarships.
Student TA Ships
Students of the Lahore School of Economics enrolled in
the MBA Programme who are not on 100% scholarship and who attain a CGPA of 3.5
and above at the end of their Hons. degree and all the 2nd year students of the
MBA programme at the Lahore School who attain a CGPA of 3.5 and above at the end
of first year may apply for one Student TA Ship (with tuition credit for a three
credit hour course) in the subsequent term. The Student TA Ships will be in
addition to the Major and Minor Merit Scholarships and Need Based Scholarships.
Mahmood Chaudhry Scholarship
One MBA student enrolled in the 1½ year MBA Programme
who is already on Need Based Scholarship is eligible to compete for the 100%
Mahmood Chaudhry Scholarship which will be given to a student who secures
highest CGPA at the end of first term. In case of more than one student with the
highest CGPA the Financial Assistance Committee will decide the ’Mahmood
Chaudhry Scholar’ on the basis of ‘the greatest need’. This scholarship will be
for the entire remaining year of the 1½ year MBA Programme.
Graduate Major
Merit Scholarship for Executive MBA Programme
BBBA/BSc (Hons.) graduates of the Lahore School of
Economics who have attained a CGPA of 3.75 by the end of their Hons. degree, if
admitted in to the Lahore School’s Executive MBA will be eligible for 50% Major
Merit Scholarship (which is equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees for the
term) for the first term of the Executive MBA Programme, which will continue for
subsequent terms provided they maintain a CGPA of 3.75 at the end of each term.
Students with CGPA between 3.74 and 3.5 will have their Major Merit Scholarship
reduced to 25%. If the CGPA drops below 3.5, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
Graduate Minor Merit
