Work / Experience: 

Harp, Hampshire. UK : Beverage Industry & equipment study.; Woodall Duckams, Crawley & Croydon, UK, : Ind Chems R&D. ; Olsa , Milan , Italy. Process & eqpmt design & manufacture.; Trading, Qureshi Ltd., State Cement (Pak), R&D ; Packages, R&D : developed the elusive Butyl stereos for the printing machines, & also “CCC” cartridge ammo casing. Development & supply of household detergents & floor & furniture polishes; also, casein-based industrial leather finishes. Making of dies & molds for the plastic blow-molding machines.

Teaching:  Teaching at the University: Lahore School of Economics : Mathematics to BBA & MBA students and short courses in Statistics & Operations Management .

Interests & Hobbies;   i.e. with relevance to Extra Curricular activities.

Music: Vinyl record sleeves of Western classical music , Beethoven, Mozart et al., as also some popular oldies of Beatles , Joan Baez, Nina Simone & even Edith Piaf and Sangam, & films Dr Zhivago, Sound of Music etc , are framed & mounted on the office wall-- a memorabilia of the University time at Leeds. There are also present musical instruments: violin, sitar , saxophone, harmonium & guitar with ability to play these from notations , with varying degrees of ability & comfort.

Sculpture: Life-size metal portrait sculptures in copper were made via electroforming method, drawing on earlier experience of electroplating on non-conductors. By this method even the finger-prints of the artist are reproduced in the finished sculpture whereas no such detail is available via the traditional lost-wax , molten-metal casting process.

Photography:   Starting with first camera at age 9 ,” Baby Brownie” Kodak 127, interest has never waned, with subsequent acquisitions being Rollieflex, Asahi Pentax , Canon QL, and now digital Canon 80D; also, added along the way, a miniature German classic of 60’s “ Minox” , used in the James Bond film 007 !! An exhibition of photographs spanning a period of 50+-years is planned.

Theatre & Film:   Closely associated with the productions of over 30 commercial theatre and about four international level feature films.

Debates: Refereed an international students’ debating contest in China.

Sports:  Having been at Burn Hall and at Aitchison, it was mandatory to participate in most sports activities; early on was captain of the house Swimming, Basketball and Tennis teams and then participated only in swimming and squash; as, also for a period, the Ace cross-country runner in Burn Hall! Later, abroad, indulged in some scuba diving in Lake District , UK , and some free open-sea swimming in Adriatic, as also skiing in Scotland, Switzerland and in Italy!

Paints: Large quantities of Acrylic paint was formulated & supplied for paintings towards attempts at Guinness record for “giant hand-prints paintings by over 6000 school children”.

Architectural finishes:  Textured and other novelty wall-finishes were developed & applied for leading architects.

Travels: Besides air & sea travel, is also extensive road travel in UK and Italy in particular. A two month tour by Greyhound Bus, of parts of USA, Canada & Mexico , and a solo 14-day car drive from Munich to Lahore.
