Raja Aamir Naseem Khan
Dr Aamir Khan was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford from 1986-9 where he earned a First Class BA in French Literature (Special Authors: Racine and Moliere) and Modern History, with distinction in spoken French. Dr Aamir has a PhD in Business Administration from Cranfield University, UK; an MSc in Management from INSEAD, France; an MSc in Sociology from Oxford; an MBA from CEIBS; and a BSc Electrical Engineering from UET, Lahore where he won a Silver Medal. He also won a visiting doctoral fellowship to Wharton in 2004 where he spent a term as a doctoral student.
Dr Aamir was a University Lecturer at Cranfield School of Management, UK where he taught in the MSc program and also in the Executive Education in the Cranfield Accelerated Talent Development Program (ADTP) and the Cranfield Advanced Development Program (ADP), delivering modules on management to British companies. He was an Associate Professor in the School of Business at LUMS, where he was also Faculty Director of RAUSING Executive Development Centre (REDC), and where he trained a large number of corporate managers, companies and government officials (LESCO, FBR). He was a University Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at UET, Lahore in 1986, and has worked as a consultant engineer at NESPAK. He joined LSE, Lahore in 2013 as an Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Executive Education). He has taught management in Dubai, China and Indonesia, in addition to the UK and Pakistan.
Dr Aamir has taught for many years in the MBA program in the areas of Organizational Behavior and Leadership, and Marketing. His teaching areas cover conflict, communication, culture and leadership, in addition to marketing, branding and sales. Four of his management cases were published in the last two years in ‘Essentials of Modern Marketing’ by Kotler & Partners, Pakistan Edition. His paper with Dr. Sana Azar as first author, was published in JBR 2018 and has earned 91 citations. Dr Aamir has an extensive experience of executive training and development in the UK, Dubai and Pakistan, and has consulted with many companies, most recently with Getz and CCL Pharma. His most recent training was with the HEC. He has also trained Pakistani business schools’ faculty on the NBEAC forum in the case method multiple times.
Dr Aamir was awarded “The President of Pakistan’s Gold Medal for Best Probationer” in 1991 at the Civil Services Academy, where he also won the Gold Medal for Academics. He also won the first prize at the Foreign Service Training Institute, Islamabad. He speaks French and Chinese. His favorite novels include Crime and Punishment, Sentimental Education, Vanity Fair, The Red and the Black, Return of the Native, The Sun also Rises, Manon Lescaut and Clarissa.
Dr Aamir speaks French and Chinese, and has taught French at the Alliance Française de Lahore for many years.
