Zahid Riaz

Dr. Zahid Riaz is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration, Lahore School of Economics, Pakistan. He joined the Lahore School in March 2014. He holds a PhD and MPhil from the UNSW Business School, Australia, and an MBA and BBA (Honors) from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan.

Before joining the Lahore School, he taught at UNSW (Australia), Coventry University (UK), and the Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan), and served as a Visiting Research Fellow at UNSW Business School.

His research examines how institutional and organizational factors shape responsible business practices and competitiveness in developed and emerging economies, with a focus on corporate governance, sustainability, international business, CSR, and organizational behavior. His work has been published in international journals of high repute and impact, and he has predominantly been first or second author, reflecting his active and meaningful contribution to the research process.

Dr. Zahid Riaz serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Global Responsibility, sits on editorial boards of several journals, and is a member of the judging panel for the Emerald & EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards. He has supervised three PhD and five MPhil candidates, contributing to scholarship in organization and management. He served as editor for the Lahore Journal of Business from 2016 to 2023. Previously, he was a guest editor for two special topics for Frontiers in Psychology journal.

Since 2016–17, he has played a key role in strengthening business education quality and accreditation in Pakistan through his work with the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), mentoring institutions including a public-sector business school and the FAST School of Management, Lahore, and conducting nationwide accreditation visits that have advanced academic standards and institutional capacity.
