Sophia Ali

Dr. Sophia Ali earned her Ph.D. from Kobe University, Japan, where she was awarded the prestigious MEXT scholarship. Bridging academia and industry, she brings a distinctive combination of scholarly depth and practical insight to her teaching and research. She teaches a range of courses related to Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, employing innovative pedagogical approaches such as Experiential Learning, Socratic Seminars, Dialogic Learning, as well as Blended and Flipped Learning models. Her research interests and expertise center on intergenerational dynamics in the workplace, with a particular focus on Millennials (Gen Y). She also explores topics such as the Algorithmic Management of Gig Workers, Technostress, Employee Well-being, Quality of Work Life, Subjective Career, and Corporate Social Responsibility. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Ali collaborates on consulting projects with organizations, which further enriches her understanding of contemporary business challenges. At the Lahore School of Economics, she is dedicated to creating a learning environment that combines theoretical rigor with practical relevance, equipping students to navigate and lead effectively in today’s dynamic organizational landscape.
