Shamyla Chaudhry

Ms. Chaudry is Assistant Professor in Economics and Business Administration. She has an MSc in Industrial Relations and Workplace Learning from the University of Leicester. She also has an MSc. in Economics and Management from the Lahore School of Economics and has done her Bachelors in Economics and Literature from Kinnaird College for Women. She teaches Introductory courses on Economics, Macro Economics I, Macro Economics II and Environmental Economics at the Lahore School.

Ms. Chaudry was a gold medalist at Kinnaird College. She was awarded the silver medal for being placed on the Dean’s Honor’s List and a medal for the best student in Pakistan Economy at the Lahore School of Economics.

She has done research work on the Surgical Goods Industry Sector and various Labor issues in Pakistan. Ms. Chaudry has worked on the ILO Socio-Economic Security Programme as a Contributor for the Pakistan Region. She has worked with the Punjab Bureau of Statistics in conducting primary data collection for the Punjab Consanguinity survey 2009-2010 and is involved with research on the economic aspects of cousin marriages. She is currently working with Professors at Yale and Columbia on the 'Analysis of Technology and Subsidies for High?Quality Inputs (Rexine) the Sialkot Soccer Ball Industry'.
