Ejaz Hussain

Ejaz Hussain completed his master’s in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, in 2003. He earned another master’s in Asian Studies from Lund University, Sweden, in 2006, and obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science from Heidelberg University, Germany, in 2010. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, in 2017. Dr. Hussain has authored and edited two books and published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Asian Security and International Affairs. He has also taught at several universities, including COMSATS University Islamabad, Forman Christian College University (FCCU, Lahore), where he is an alumnus, Iqra University, Islamabad, and Shanghai International Studies University, China.

Dr. Hussain has been recognized as a fellow by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Fudan Development Institute (FDDI, China), and the Fulbright Program (USA). His commentaries have appeared in prominent media outlets such as BBC, China Daily, CGTN, Global Times, South China Morning Post, Bloomberg, Express Tribune, The Friday Times, Daily Times, and The News.  Since 2022, Dr. Ejaz Hussain has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Lahore School of Economics. His core areas of interest include comparative politics, foreign policy analysis, Belt & Road studies, governance and federalism, and climate crisis and public policy.
