MBA Program
The MBA Program at the Lahore School requires a minimum of 78 credit hours taught over 2 years for students with four years bachelors honors degrees with a CGPA of 2.5. Graduates of the BBA / BSc Economics and Business (Hons) Programs of the Lahore School of Economics with a CGPA of 3.0 and above may join in the second year for the MBA Program .The 1½ year MBA Program requires completion of 42 credit hours. Students joining the 1½ year MBA Program complete the Research Project in the Winter Semester of their 2nd Year. A CGPA of 2.5 and a 6-8 week internship/work experience approved and monitored by the Lahore School’s Placement Office during the MBA program is a requirement to graduate from the 1½ year MBA Program and 2 year MBA Program. Internship/Work is to be done in Summer Term of the first year.
All courses in the MBA Program are taught at an advanced theoretical and applied level with a strong emphasis on its application to the Pakistan economy and the performance of Pakistani companies using empirical and analytical references.
The MBA Program enables students to develop general management skills; a thorough understanding of the functional areas of the firm; an ability to use quantitative decision tools; and an awareness of political, social, ethical and economic forces that affect business decisions.

Length of MBA Programme and Graduation Requirements: The MBA Programme is a 2 year degree programme requiring completion of 78 credit hours. Credit Hours and Courses: All courses are three credit hours except the Research Project which is 6 credit hours.
Term Schedule: The academic year consists of 2 Semesters (Winter and Spring) and an optional Summer Term for deficiency/failure/repetition courses. The Winter Semester from September – December and Spring Semester from January - May consist of 16- 18 weeks each including one week for Mid Semester Exams and one week for Final Semester Exams. The optional Summer Term for deficiency/failure/repetition courses will be from June – August for 9- 11 weeks.
Entrance Requirements: Admission to the Lahore School's 2 year MBA programme and 1½ year MBA programme is regulated through an entrance examination and interview process. A four year B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA IT/BBA (Hons) degree or equivalent 16 years of formal education with at least a CGPA of 2.5, is a necessary pre-requisite for admission into the 2 year MBA Programme. Graduates of the BBA (Hons)/ BSc (Hons) /BS (Hons) Business Programmes of the Lahore School of Economics with a CGPA of 3.0 and above are eligible to apply for admission into the 1½ year MBA Programme .Students who have appeared for their final Undergraduate examinations are also eligible to apply for the MBA programmes subject to the condition that they submit their final results soon after their declaration in August.
The Lahore School of Economics has the right to make modifications in its Policies including Admission Policies, Fees, Courses, Course Sequence, Seminar, Tutorial and Graduation requirements for any Undergraduate/ Graduate Programme
